About the Role

At Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, as part of the MEH Alliance, we are delivering the mechanical, electrical and HVAC works at Hinkley Point C—one of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile infrastructure projects. We are now looking for a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of key contract packages across our European supply chain.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of contract packages from manufacturing through to site readiness, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will play a critical role in coordinating stakeholders, managing risk, and ensuring alignment with wider project objectives.

Site based – 5 day working week.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the full lifecycle of contract packages, including variations, claims, technical queries and instructions
  • Driving delivery to meet programme milestones, budgets and technical requirements
  • Monitoring progress and providing clear reporting to key stakeholders
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues and non‑conformances during manufacturing and delivery
  • Managing contract changes, including scope definition and governance processes
  • Ensuring Level 3 schedules are in place and aligned with overall project timelines
  • Coordinating with HPC site teams to ensure readiness for delivery and installation
  • Applying Earned Value Management (EVM) and supporting robust commercial reporting
  • Driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the programme

Qualifications

  • Degree‑qualified in engineering, construction or a related discipline, with chartered status desirable
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as APM or PRINCE2
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Proven experience delivering projects in complex, highly regulated environments (nuclear or similar preferred)
  • Strong background in managing engineering, procurement and construction (EPCM) activities
  • Experience managing complex contracts and applying commercial controls including cost, risk, schedule and change
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with NEC or FIDIC contracts
  • Understanding of nuclear quality requirements and assurance processes
  • Ability to gain a security clearance
