Shift
Monday – Friday (day shift)
Location
Southwest (Swindon, Bristol, Bath or Gloucester). Will also cover other regions across the UK, requiring overnight stays.
Salary
£45,000 – £52,500 per annum (based on qualifications) + Van, fuel card, mobile phone, paid door-to-door, £30 per night away, overtime paid at 1.5×. OTE around £60,000.

Starting Salary Details
Non‑IRTEC qualified: £18 per hour (£44,928 per annum) – increases to £18.90 (£47,174.40) after probation
IRTEC qualified: £18.90 per hour (£47,174.40) – increases to £21 (£52,416) after probation
Duties
- Perform routine servicing, inspections and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles.
- Conduct visual and operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
- Carry out technical inspections using manuals and diagnostic techniques to locate and correct defective components.
- Undertake thorough inspections of accident‑damaged vehicles and produce accurate repair reports.
- Work on customer sites with or without workshop facilities.
- Participate in on‑call duties approximately 1 in 6‑7 weeks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications in heavies (City & Guilds, NVQ, or IRTEC) – preferred; time served considered.
- Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles – essential.
- Prior experience as a mobile HGV technician or similar – beneficial.
- Experience with GSE – an advantage.
- Full UK valid driving licence (mobile role, paid door‑to‑door).
- Based in the Southwest; must be prepared to work away across the UK during the week.
Training
Industry‑leading product training from day one, including 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an experienced technician.
Additional
The client will provide IRTEC training once the probation period is passed.
