Role Information
- Provide commercial support across projects, including bid governance, change management, compensation events, and contractual notices
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements, liaising with HoC, SQS, and clients
- Support Project Managers with all commercial aspects of project delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Interpret and apply head contract terms, ensuring flow-down to subcontractors
- Monitor contract compliance and implement corrective actions where required
- Develop and support procurement strategies to meet project timelines, budgets, and risk requirements
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and supply chain risks
- Lead sourcing and tendering processes, ensuring well-defined work packages and appropriate contract terms
- Manage subcontractor performance, claims, and post-contract commercial activities
- Ensure timely issuance of contractual notices and proper documentation of variations and claims
- Review and validate subcontractor compensation events and invoices, certifying payments
- Support agreement of final accounts with subcontractors
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and site teams to track progress and variations
- Promote commercial best practices and provide guidance to project teams
- Escalate key commercial risks and issues to senior management with proposed solutions
Qualifications / Experience Required
- Extensive working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4
- UK National Security Vetting Status – Ability to gain SC Clearance – Candidate must be a British National due to the nature of the project
