The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our efforts in winning new IT business. The successful candidate will have qualified appointment setters generating quality leads — however, our BDM must also be able to self-generate, run their own outreach, and book their own appointments to build a strong personal pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition: Lead the charge in identifying and securing new business opportunities, focusing on IT.
  • Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Take ownership of forecasting responsibilities by providing regular updates to the management team on sales performance and planned activities. Ensure all reporting is clear, timely, and data-driven.
  • Contract Negotiation: Spearhead complex deal structures and negotiate contracts that are beneficial to both the customer and the business.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in working within IT services, IT support, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, or MSP environments.
  • Proven track record in new business development within the IT sector.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Skilled in IT-focused contract negotiation, handling complex commercial structures confidently.
  • Highly disciplined in pipeline management, CRM usage, and accurate forecasting and reporting for IT sales cycles.
  • Strong understanding of IT terminology, infrastructure basics, cloud services, and cybersecurity considerations.
  • Comfortable collaborating with IT engineers, technical consultants, and service teams to ensure solution accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Due to the nature of the role, the company is unable to offer sponsorship or relocation assistance. Candidates must already reside in the UK.
