Life Leisure General Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and values-driven General Manager to lead the Marple Community Hub. This key leadership role has responsibility for delivering outstanding customer experiences, strong commercial performance, and meaningful community impact.

As leader, you will inspire a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the hub operates safely, efficiently and in line with Life Leisure’s purpose: to improve the lives of others. Working closely with internal teams and local partners including Stockport Council and the NHS, you will ensure the hub plays a central role in improving health, wellbeing and community engagement in Marple.

Qualifications

  • Management experience within the leisure sector
  • Proven experience of full budget and profit & loss accountability
  • Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong customer focus with a track record of delivering high quality services
  • Experience working with external partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into practical action
  • Strong understanding of health & safety responsibilities

Desirable

  • Experience working across both local authority and private leisure environments
  • Knowledge of leisure management systems
  • Experience in co-located or community-focused service environments
  • Understanding of Quest, NPS or similar quality frameworks
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
