We recover metals and pride ourselves with the most advanced machinery and mobile installations. At NRC, we are the link between waste processing and responsible recycling.We are looking for a Hand Picker to join our team in Clyst St Mary Exeter on a full time basis.As a Hand Picker you work on the installation in a team of about 6 people. You will mainly be busy sorting the different metals and keeping the installation clean. You must be happy to travel with the team to our Pershore site approx. six weeks per year.

Your duties will include (but are not restricted to)

  • Sorting various minerals/raw materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and copper
  • Cleaning up the spills on and around the installation
  • Monitor the production process and in the event of a malfunction or obstruction, alarm/address the team leader
  • Help clean the installation manually at the end of the production day and/or during a malfunction and downtime
  • Being flexible in taking over other activities from colleagues
  • Ensuring maintenance and cleaning of your own workplace and installations during the day
  • Report any malfunctions or unsafe situations to the team leader
  • Complying with the NRC Safety Manual

If you have experience sorting out metals, then this is an advantage but it isn’t essential as training will be given.
