Job Description The position involves a balance of planned and reactive maintenance, technical fault resolution and stakeholder coordination. Through effective maintenance, repairs and improvements, the Mechanical Engineer directly contributes to service performance, stakeholder satisfaction and ISS’ reputation for dependable facilities management. Key Responsibilities Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems Diagnose faults and repair mechanical and building services plant Complete planned PPM activities and respond to reactive call-outs Test and calibrate systems to ensure compliance and optimal performance Complete work orders, reports and maintenance documentation accurately Liaise with site stakeholders, supervisors and contractors Ensure compliance with all health, safety and statutory requirements Support continuous improvement in maintenance and service delivery Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Plumbing Level 2 (candidates considered, with potential to convert depending on experience) Mechanical Level 2 (candidates considered, with potential to convert depending on experience) Air Conditioning (AC) Level 2 F-Gas certification Full UK driving licence (essential) Experience Previous PPM experience is not essential Commercial experience required, such as routine plumbing tasks (e.g. unblocking toilets) and the ability to work independently within a core trade The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
