This role will lead the direct procurement strategy for the business, with responsibility for negotiations, tenders, and supporting new product launches. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver procurement strategy, policies, and processes.
- Lead and develop the procurement team.
- Define and execute sourcing and category strategies, including tenders and supplier negotiations.
- Drive cost savings, risk mitigation, and margin improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally to influence decisions and improve performance through data, insights, and continuous improvement.
Profile
The successful candidate would have:
- Strong experience within direct FMCG procurement, ideally ingredient or commodity categories.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver sourcing strategies, run tenders, and achieve cost savings.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proactive, hands‑on team player, able to manage multiple priorities and operate both strategically and in detail.
