This role is a highly motivated and experienced Radiographer position, leading Risk and Governance within the Radiotherapy Management team at University Hospital Southampton.

The successful candidate will have HCPC registration and a Master’s level study or equivalent. Responsibilities include:

• Leading risk and governance activities in the Radiotherapy department.
• Managing and leading within a busy radiotherapy service.
• Applying evidence‑based service improvement initiatives.
• Communicating effectively across all levels of the organisation.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• HCPC Registration.
• Master’s level study or equivalence.
• Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers with specialist experience and courses.
• Change management and implementation skills.
• Management and leadership experience.
• Highly developed clinical expertise within a busy radiotherapy service.
• Excellent communication skills up and down the organisational structure.
• Senior level experience within a Radiotherapy Department.
• Evidence-based service improvement experience.
• Ability to manage a complex project.

Desirable Criteria

• Project management or educational experience.
• Understanding of the wider cancer agenda and NHS commissioning structure.
• Project work towards SoR Accreditation.
• Defined area of specialist practice with caseload management.
• Experience of working with staff in a management capacity.
• Teaching or training skills.
