Tax Manager – Exeter – £40,000 – £52,000

Trial Balance are excited to be working with a successful accountancy practice, who are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their Exeter office.

Responsibilities

• Managing a broad portfolio of tax compliance and advisory work, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met to a high standard.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for tax planning and ongoing advisory support.
• Supporting a variety of tax advisory projects across a diverse client base.
• Reviewing tax returns and preparing complex tax computations where required.
• Mentoring junior team members, supporting their professional development and technical growth.
• Identifying and mitigating tax risks, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice standards.
• Supporting the day-to-day management of tax compliance processes.
• Assisting Partners and senior leadership with the continued growth, performance and development of the tax function.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will ideally be ATT qualified, with experience in a practice environment being a must. Strong interpersonal and client management skills are also essential due to the nature of the role.
