Azure Cloud Consultant

6 Month Contract (High likelihood to extend).

Responsibilities

• Identify, validate, and implement cloud security controls aligned to approved security frameworks and architecture standards
• Act as the SME for Cloud Security Controls across project reviews and wider Information Security teams
• Optimise and enhance existing security tooling for cloud control validation and compliance monitoring
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement additional cloud assessment frameworks and remediation processes
• Produce and maintain governance documentation, standards, and operating procedures
• Translate technical security risks into business impact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Conduct cloud security reviews, risk assessments, and remediation planning across projects and operational environments

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands‑on experience in Cloud Security with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
• Proven experience designing and implementing secure Azure architectures and controls
• Strong knowledge of Azure security services and cloud-native security principles
• Deep understanding of Privileged Access Security
• Experience with Azure network security
• Experience with Secrets Management
• Familiarity with container security and cloud-native security patterns
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Desirable)
• Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services or Insurance
• Certifications including CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
• Exposure to additional cloud platforms (AWS / GCP)
• Experience working within multinational organisations
