5 Dimensions Trust is seeking a passionate and committed individual to take on the voluntary role of Chair of Governors at Walton High.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a dedicated governing board and play a key strategic role in shaping the future of a thriving and ambitious school. As Chair, you will work closely with school leaders and fellow governors to ensure strong governance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring:

  • Strong leadership, chairing or governance experience
  • Insight into the local community in western Milton Keynes
  • Expertise in areas such as communications, marketing, or organisational strategy
  • A commitment to collaboration and continuous school improvement

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 4 Local Advisory Board meetings per year (each around 2 hours, in person)
  • School visits and monthly meetings with Headteacher (can be online)
  • Preparation time, including reading and reviewing documents
  • 3 optional breakfast meetings per year with Trust team for support and collaboration
