What you’ll do

  • Monitor and resolve trading alerts, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of execution or risk issues.
  • Execute trades in accordance with the firm’s Trading Risk Policy.
  • Monitor execution quality and trading costs across instruments, proactively identifying and addressing operational or execution inefficiencies to optimise processes and controls.
  • Implement pre-trade and post-trade execution risk controls.
  • Monitor pricing quality, spreads and system performance.
  • Proactively monitor market developments and communicate relevant news and risks to the trading team.
  • Collaborate with senior traders and quantitative researchers to structure and evaluate new trading opportunities.
  • Generate P&L tracking and attribution reports related to execution performance, hedging activity and trading costs.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of proprietary execution algorithms for various market conditions.
  • Build and enhance trading tools, models, and analytics in programming languages like Python to support decision‑making and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional team members, providing data, analysis and insights to support wider trading projects and initiatives.
  • Perform post‑trade surveillance tasks.

What you need to have

  • Educated to degree level in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in a programming or scripting language, preferably Python, for research and data analysis.
  • Willingness to commit to a shift‑based work schedule to ensure 24/5 coverage.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing and dynamic market environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in Equities Trading is highly desirable.
  • Relevant professional qualifications are a plus.
