A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised Administration Manager in Gastroenterology.

Responsibilities

  • Line‑manage the department’s administrative staff and ensure the smooth running of administration functions.
  • Manage the administrative, clerical and secretarial needs of the directorate; monitor workload to meet activity targets and ensure patient management aligns with the patient access policy.
  • Manage various projects and developments from inception to implementation.
  • Authorise annual leave and study leave, monitor staff workloads, allocate work and adjust during sickness or unexpected changes.
  • Manage administrative staff sickness in line with Trust HR policies, conduct return‑to‑work interviews and liaise with HR; produce monthly sickness reports for the Service Manager.
  • Lead recruitment of secretarial staff: devise adverts, create job descriptions, shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, verify references, chair interview panel, and advise the service manager on appointments.
