AIX & Red Hat Linux Engineer – On-Site (UK)

Location: UK (On-site)

Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for UK Government Security Clearance

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain IBM AIX and RHEL systems.
• Manage LPARs, VIO servers, and HMCs in IBM Power Systems.
• Optimize performance, handle upgrades, patching, and backups.
• Automate tasks using shell scripting and Ansible.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with security standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years AIX administration, 3+ years RHEL experience.
• Strong IBM Power Systems knowledge.
• Shell scripting (Korn, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Eligible for UK Government Security Clearance.

Nice to Have

• Python scripting, IBM AIX certification, RHCSA/RHCE.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, containers (Docker, Podman), and monitoring tools.
