New Opportunity – CNC Machinist / Programmer

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist with strong skills in setting and programming lathes? Our client based in Mansfield is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture precision-engineered components for the drilling industry. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong experience in setting up CNC machines, programming, and producing high-quality components from technical engineering drawings.

As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will:

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision components
• Program CNC machines (lathe experience essential)
• Set up and run machining jobs from start to finish
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Carry out threading operations
• Work with steel to manufacture drill and rig components

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 5+ years’ hands‑on experience in CNC machining, setting, and programming
• Experience working with CNC lathes (essential)
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in CNC programming or machining (or similar qualification)
• Fanuc control experience (advantageous but not essential)
• Must be local to the Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire area
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK

What’s on Offer

• £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
• Full‑time, permanent position
• Day shift working pattern – Monday to Thursday (8am – 5pm) and Friday (7am – 4pm)
