Role: Marketing Communications Manager
Location: Birmingham, England, United Kingdom (hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office)
About the role
We are a dynamic marketing team embedded within a leading Financial Services brand. We deliver world‑class marketing content that drives results within a fast‑paced and highly regulated space.
As a Marketing Communications Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering multi‑variant marketing communications across various channels. Initially, this will be primarily copy via email and direct mail to retail customers, expanding into full image and copy executions as we grow.
What you will be doing
- Manage requests from product owners and supporting teams, triaging and validating the needs of briefs.
- Utilize project management tools to ensure efficient workflow and process management.
- Develop and manage detailed project timelines and stakeholder communications, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meeting expectations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Channel, and Compliance teams.
- Understand and interpret marketing challenges and communication objectives to scope solutions with clients as an extension of their team.
- Investigate and triage each brief to ensure full understanding of the brief and required results of the campaign / deliverable.
- Proactively collate missing information to ensure a fully rounded understanding of the brief.
- Support development of briefs and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee production and delivery of marketing assets across various channels, both online and offline.
- Track and analyze campaign performance when necessary.
- Validate outputs against briefs prior to delivery to client.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and continuously improve processes and ways of working.
What you need to be great in this role
- Proven experience as a Marketing Project Manager within a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, ideally within Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, both online and offline campaign management.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work independently.
- Proactive, solution‑focused self‑starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Passion for marketing in a regulated industry and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, ideally within Financial Services.
