Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum (including 15% shift allowance)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (3 12 hour night shifts every 4 weeks)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our well-established client in Wigton.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will support the maintenance of a modern production facility and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the site. Working on a Monday to Friday shift pattern, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment, responding to breakdowns, and contributing to engineering projects aimed at improving efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Plant and Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure all plant and equipment operate safely and comply with relevant regulations.
- Maintain machine up time, output, and waste levels in line with operational targets.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs within agreed timescales.
- Investigate and upscale issues causing excessive downtime.
- Maintain accurate records within the maintenance management system, including downtime and repair history.
Electrical and Mechanical Duties
- Carry out electrical maintenance in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous area requirements, including installations and preventative maintenance.
- Support mechanical maintenance activities as required.
- Modify and improve machinery to maximise production performance.
Continuous Improvement and Projects
- Analyse maintenance and breakdown data to improve preventative maintenance schedules.
- Participate in and, where appropriate, lead engineering projects.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industrial experience.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
Desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial plant and equipment.
- COMPEX 1-4 qualification for hazardous areas.
Mechanical training will be provided to the successful candidate where required.

Salary and Benefits
