Trainee Client Manager (Hybrid) – Mercer Marsh Benefits

We are seeking a talented Trainee Client Manager to join our Digital team at Mercer Marsh Benefits. This hybrid role (2‑3 days per week in the office) will be based in Bristol or London.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders, providing consultative support throughout the client journey.
  • Define and execute a rolling 12‑month strategic client plan to protect and grow revenue, including identifying upsell opportunities.
  • Lead operational activities such as quarterly business reviews, client planning, milestone tracking, and coordination with delivery teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Manage client retention and satisfaction targets, ensuring all client‑related systems and toolkits are accurately maintained and communicated.

  • Passion for client management and building relationships, with a client‑centric approach.
  • Effective organisational and time‑management skills, able to manage multiple clients and priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to set clear agendas and manage expectations.
  • A proactive, commercial mindset with business and financial acumen.
  • Team‑player attitude, embracing diversity and inclusion, and a willingness to be challenged and coached.
