Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Location: Remote with 75% UK travel

As part of our HMPPS contract, you’ll support a network of unique operating environments where precision, safety, and humanity matter in equal measure. This is logistics with purpose – a chance to lead teams, shape standards, and influence outcomes across sites that play a vital role in rehabilitation and public service. As Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee multiple sites across our HMPPS portfolio, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and in line with DHL’s high standards. You’ll be the driving force behind operational performance, colleague engagement, customer relationships, and continuous improvement across a diverse and challenging regional footprint.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Ensure all sites deliver safe, efficient, and cost effective operations aligned with budget targets.
  • Ensure full understanding and application of all DHL HSMS standards and safety policies across the region.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance process efficiency, reduce cost, and support ongoing operational excellence.
  • Ensure appropriate security measures are in place to protect colleagues, visitors, assets, and customer stock.
  • Provide leadership to Warehouse Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, and support teams – including hybrid self pack/shop sites – to deliver KPIs, sustainability goals, growth, and colleague engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer representatives, senior officials, and local liaisons across host, serviced, and hybrid operating sites

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

  • Strong operational experience in a fast paced, multi site or complex environment.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in complex, high pressure or sensitive operational settings.
  • Experience driving cultural, behavioural, or operational change across teams or multiple sites.
  • Confidence and professionalism working within HMPPS environments.
  • Three- Five years of UK address history
