The Prince Albert Community Trust (PACT) is seeking a proactive and dedicated Building Services Site Manager to join our team and support the maintenance and safety of our school environments. Initially based at Highfield Junior and Infant School, this is a key role in ensuring our buildings and grounds are clean, secure, and well‑maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. In addition to site management duties, the successful candidate will be expected to supervise and monitor Assistant Building Site Supervisors where appropriate. The ability to lead by example and support team development is essential to maintaining high standards across all Trust sites. PACT is a multi‑academy trust serving a diverse community across our family of schools, which includes Prince Albert Primary School, Heathfield Primary School, Highfield J&I School, Birchfield Primary School, Sutton Park Primary School, Lakey Lane Primary School and PA High School.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be based at Prince Albert High School, but may be required to work across the schools within our Trust and will:
- Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and security of school buildings and grounds.
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Respond promptly to site issues and emergencies.
- Work flexibly to accommodate shift patterns and operational needs.
- Supervise and monitor Assistant Building Site Supervisors where appropriate, including implementing on‑site training and assigning tasks/roles in line with the agreed division of duties.
- Support the wider site team and follow instructions from senior leaders and the central Building Services Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Practical experience using power tools and maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with leadership teams.
- Basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
- A commitment to high standards of customer service and site safety.
- Experience in supervising staff or willingness to develop leadership skills.
- Fluent and spoken English, as required by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
- Successful completion of satisfactory online checks and enhanced DBS checks.
