Join Barnet’s dynamic Duty & Assessment Team as a Senior Social Worker or Assistant Practitioner, where your expertise will make a meaningful impact in the community. We are offering a competitive rate of £39.04 per hour on an umbrella basis. This role is pivotal in providing high‑quality assessments and interventions for children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing supervision and support to junior staff and students within the team.
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in multi‑agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
Qualifications & Skills
- A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and assessment within a statutory setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Proficiency in report writing and case management systems.
