We’re looking for a MEICA Operations Manager to join our Severn Trent Water Framework based in Wanlip.
Location: Wanlip STW – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As part of Kier’s continued partnership with Severn Trent Water under the AMP8 framework, this is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering complex wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll lead the successful delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) works on the Wanlip STW upgrade programme, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and technical standards whilst meeting programme and commercial targets.
What will you be responsible for?
As a MEICA Operations Manager, you’ll be working within the Severn Trent Water AMP8 team, supporting them in delivering design and build services for new and existing infrastructure assets.
Your day to day will include:
- Leading the MEICA workstream for the Wanlip site, ensuring efficient delivery of mechanical and electrical installations and ICA systems
- Collaborating with civil and process teams to coordinate multidisciplinary delivery, ensuring design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover meet specifications
- Implementing and monitoring safety, health and environmental policies in accordance with the Kier Integrated Management System
- Supporting the selection of Mechanical and Electrical supply chain partners, applying sound technical and commercial judgement
- Managing people in line with Kier’s values, supporting development opportunities and providing constructive feedback
What are we looking for?
- You hold a BEng/ONC/HNC qualification in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- You have proven industry experience, ideally including water/wastewater, with good working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes
- You have experience acting as a Tier 1 DSEAR Lead with DSEAR knowledge and COMPEX qualifications
- You’re technically competent in both Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines with proven people and project management skills
- You possess strong judgement and problem‑solving skills
