Job Description:

Interim Commercial Lead – Care Funding & Commissioning

3-6 Months

£450-£500 per day (Outside IR35)

East Midlands (1–2 days on site, remainder remote)

The Opportunity

Eaton Syalon is supporting a large, nationwide organisation within the social care sector on a high‑impact income optimisation project.

Significant work has already been undertaken to identify gaps in funding, historic underpayments, and inconsistencies in structures.

The next phase — and the focus of this role — is driving the commercial outcome.

This is a front‑facing, commercially focused interim assignment, working directly with Local Authorities and NHS commissioning teams to renegotiate positions, secure uplifts, and influence long‑term pricing strategy.

The Role

Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of progressing this project into delivery:

  • Lead discussions with commissioners to address discrepancies, uplifts, and back‑payments
  • Translate detailed financial analysis into clear, commercially robust narratives
  • Negotiate and influence across Local Authority and NHS stakeholders
  • Support the development of a more structured and sustainable pricing approach
  • Drive momentum and ensure the organisation achieves tangible financial outcomes

This is not a role focused on identifying issues — that work has been done.

This is about owning the conversation and delivering results.

About You

We are looking for a commercially credible professional who is comfortable operating in complex, stakeholder‑heavy environments.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in negotiation and stakeholder management at a senior level
  • A strong understanding of pricing, funding, or income streams
  • The confidence to balance commercial acumen with sensitivity in a care‑led environment

Experience within social care, healthcare, Local Authority or NHS commissioning environments would be highly advantageous.
