Earthworks Site Foreman

Apex Resources Limited are seeking an experienced Earthworks Foreman to oversee and manage earthmoving projects on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a management professional with a strong background in earthworks and construction supervision to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects.

Duties

• Lead and supervise earthworks teams, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
• Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling and resource allocation
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones to senior management
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
• Utilise Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
• Manage subcontractors and liaise with clients to address project requirements or issues
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and safety protocols
• Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance productivity and skills

Requirements

• Proven management experience within earthworks or construction environments
• Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams on large projects
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and team members
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to earthworks operations
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and adapt to changing project demands
• Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are desirable
• Must have valid SMSTS/Gold CSCS

Contract Rate: £300.00 per day
