About the Role

  • Organise and motivate dispatch staff to ensure they work to their full potential and the operation is effectively staffed.
  • Ensure training and development of all staff including new starters against approved training plans, skill matrix, and SOPs.
  • Maintain, complete and report KPI data daily.
  • Escalate issues in a timely way through key personnel.
  • Ensure staffing issues are dealt with effectively, consistently and fairly.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Have a full understanding of the Warehouse Management System.
  • Ensure the area is controlled, clean, tidy and aligned with GMP standards.
  • Adhere to health & safety and food hygiene procedures and standards.
  • Participate and promote the Avara Vision and Values.
  • Comply with all Avara policies and procedures.
  • Other duties within the general scope of the post may be required from time to time.

Requirements

  • Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
  • Experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Due to bird welfare, must not own avian pets or poultry.
