Responsibilities

  • Deliver inspirational gardening standards through excellent standards and service
  • Drive sales through customer interactions while promoting the benefits of the Dobbies Club membership
  • Offer a helping hand with customer queries through high‑quality product knowledge including indoor and outdoor plants, machinery and core gardening
  • Work with your team to ensure the department is kept to a high standard
  • Work on the shopfloor and other areas of the store as and when required, which may include working stock, cash handling, till work, take‑to‑car deliveries, stock control routines, restaurant service – an ideal opportunity to gain more skills and experience
  • Show a passion for delivering a great customer experience, serving everyone with a smile

Qualifications

  • Experience within a customer‑facing role and a passion for plants
  • Ability to lift heavy objects to support larger store projects
  • Team player who builds relationships, celebrates success and enjoys having fun in a fast‑paced environment
  • Timely arrival, well presented and demonstrates a can‑do, hard‑working attitude
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and gain new experiences
  • Capable of demonstrating our values at all times – we’re one team, getting better every day, bring a smile, live and breathe gardens and make it work for our customers
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and support of colleagues and customers
