About BOLLE
BOLLE is the ultra-premium leader in non-alcoholic wine. We are building what Dom Pérignon built for champagne: a category-defining brand the world’s best restaurants pour with pride.
Our wines are made through a patent-pending twice-fermentation process. The result: genuinely complex, low-sugar, additive-free wines with real character.
Highlights:
• Highest-ever Wine Enthusiast rating for a non-alcoholic wine (93 points)
• Served at 75+ Michelin restaurants worldwide
• Active in the UK, US and EU, with a fast-growing on-trade footprint
• Backed by an experienced founding team
The non-alcoholic category is one of the most exciting growth stories in drinks. BOLLE sits at the top end, where the customer pays for quality and the brand has room to lead.
The Role(s)
We are hiring two London-based Business Development Representatives to win new listings for BOLLE across the UK, EU and US.
This is a role for someone genuinely motivated and ambitious. The non-alcoholic category is moving fast, and the people we hire now will grow with the brand. We don’t need years of experience, we need someone who picks up the phone, follows through, and earns trust quickly.
Many buyers, sommeliers, restaurants, hotels and wine merchants come to us every month, asking about BOLLE. Your first job is to look after them: respond quickly, send samples, host tastings (in person or by video), and earn the listing.
Beyond inbound, you’ll build new relationships by phone with sommeliers, beverage directors and buyers we haven’t yet met.
You will spend roughly two-thirds of your time on inbound enquiries and existing relationships, and roughly one-third building new ones. You’ll look after the listings you can yourself, and you’ll bring in colleagues when an opportunity is best handled by a senior team member or a distributor partner.
What the job actually involves
• Looking after every new trade enquiry promptly, always within one business day, ideally within the hour
• Booking and hosting tastings by video, getting the right bottles in front of the right person
• Sending samples, then following up consistently until every conversation reaches a clear yes, no, or specific next step
• Building relationships by phone, email and social with sommeliers, beverage directors, F&B leads and wine buyers
• Bringing the right colleagues in at the right moment: wholesale, distributor and large-format opportunities sit with our senior team, and you’ll introduce them in
• Keeping HubSpot up to date: every conversation, every commitment, every next step
• Telling us what you’re hearing in the trade: what buyers say about pricing, our competitors, menu trends, what’s working and what isn’t
• Re-engaging accounts that went quiet, many of our best listings started as a ‘maybe later’
This is a phone-led role
Email and LinkedIn matter, but the phone is the centre of this job. The sommeliers and buyers we want to reach take calls; they don’t always read emails. You’ll be on the phone for most of the day.
Realistic shape of an average day on the phone:
• 60 to 80 outbound calls, mixed between new contacts and follow-ups
• A handful of meaningful conversations with decision-makers, 20 to 30 of these per week is the rhythm we’re aiming for
If the phone isn’t for you, or you’d rather work mostly through email, this isn’t the right job. If you’re comfortable picking up the phone and starting a conversation, read on.
Who we sell to
Premium restaurants, hotels, members’ clubs and bars. Independent wine merchants, premium delicatessens and specialist drinks retailers. The kind of places that take wine seriously and have customers who care about quality.
Online discounters and price-led retailers are deliberately not part of our world. We protect our pricing and brand the same way the best wine houses do.
Who we are looking for?
• Motivated and ambitious. You want to be one of the best at what you do, and you want to be rewarded for it
• Comfortable on the phone with people more senior than you: head sommeliers, hotel beverage directors, restaurant owners
• Resilient. You’ll hear ‘no’ a lot, and you need to enjoy the bit where you ring back next month and turn it into a ‘yes’
• Organised and detail-disciplined. You can keep track of hundreds of conversations without dropping the ball on any of them
• Genuinely curious about wine, food, hospitality, and how premium brands are built. You don’t need to be a sommelier, we’ll provide wine training, but you do need to want to learn
• A good writer. The buyers we’re talking to are well-educated, the venues we’re selling into are world-class, and our written communication needs to match
• Happy to be in an office with colleagues, not on Zoom from your kitchen
• Eligible to work in the UK
Nice to haves (none required)
• Some exposure to hospitality, drinks, food or premium retail (waiting, bar work, retail in a wine shop or premium grocer all count)
• Familiarity with HubSpot or any modern sales tooling
• WSET Level 1 or 2, and if you have an interest in pursuing it, we will support that
Two positions, two schedules, both based in London
We are hiring for two BDRs in this round. They are the same role, but on different hours:
• UK & Transatlantic position: Monday to Friday, full time, regular UK hours, with occasional out-of-hours work. You’ll cover the UK, EU and US East Coast.
• US position: Monday to Friday, 14:00 to 22:00 UK time. You’ll cover US East Coast through your afternoon and US West Coast into your evening. This is the highest-pickup-rate window in US on-trade outreach. You’ll leave the office around 22:00, and this is not a temporary arrangement. Please only apply for this position if those hours genuinely suit you.
Tell us in your application which position you’re applying for. You can apply for both if you’d be genuinely happy with either.
Compensation
• Base salary: £28,000
• On-target earnings: £42,000, paid in commission on revenue you bring in and on new listings you win
• Uncapped commission. Top performers may earn meaningfully more
• Pension contribution
• 28 days holiday including UK bank holidays
• Wine training (WSET) supported
• Clear path to a senior sales position as BOLLE scales, we want to grow this team, not churn it
How to Apply
Send us your CV. If you want to add a cover letter and tell us why you think you’d be a good fit for these roles, feel free.
Apply to info@bolledrinks.com with the role title in the subject line, and tell us which position you’re applying for (UK hours, US hours, or open to either).
Shortlisted candidates will complete a short written exercise before interview.
