SRT Marine Systems plc (SRT) is a globally recognised leader in maritime surveillance technology and systems.

We are expanding our autonomous surveillance division and searching for experienced UAV pilots and engineers.

Role Overview

As a UAV / UAS / Drone Pilot, you will pilot and operate rotary vertical take‑off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for commercial and military operations worldwide. The role requires daily mission execution, equipment monitoring, and adherence to operational guidelines. You will travel globally, often staying in countries for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily UAV missions, including pre‑flight checks, risk assessments, and equipment inspections.
  • Operate UAVs to capture high‑quality imagery, video, and data for reporting.
  • Act as visual observer, remote pilot assistant, or safety officer when required.
  • Maintain flight logs, technical records, and documentation per regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and manage aerial data, ensuring accuracy and quality for client deliverables.
  • Provide training and onboarding support for crew members.
  • Collaborate with flight team, in‑country partners, and other operations teams to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

  • Experience with drone piloting and UAV technology, particularly VTOL drones (multirotor & fixed‑wing).
  • Proficiency in flight planning, execution and safety in the field.
  • Strong understanding of data collection and analysis from drone operations.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory frameworks (e.g., CAA, EASA).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CAA Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent (preferred); CAA/EASA license beneficial; A1 / A2 / A3 certifications valuable.
  • Technical knowledge of drone maintenance and troubleshooting (a plus).
  • Ability to train and mentor crew on safe drone use.
  • Flexibility to work in dynamic environments and adapt to diverse mission requirements.
