We are looking for an ambitious, commercially driven leader to join Edgbaston Stadium as our Head of Business Development, a pivotal role responsible for driving Hotel business growth, market visibility and proactive demand generation across one of the UK’s most iconic sporting and events destinations.
Reporting to the Head of Conference, Events & Hotel Revenue, this high‑impact position will lead the proactive sales function with an 80% focus on Hotel performance and 20% oversight of Conference & Events through leadership of the Business Development Manager. You will take ownership of a 12‑month proactive sales and marketing strategy, driving new business acquisition, account growth, direct booking performance and seasonal campaigns, while identifying commercial opportunities that maximise revenue, visibility and yield.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute sales leader with proven experience within hospitality, hotels, venues or a related sector. You will bring a strong track record in proactive business development, pipeline management and stakeholder engagement, alongside the ability to translate market insight into clear strategy, measurable activity and commercial results. Strong leadership capability, CRM discipline and the ability to influence across operational, marketing and external partner teams are essential.
