Location: Burton upon TrentDuration: 8 WeeksStart Date: Mid-June 2026Project Value: Approx. £300kRate: Around £250 per day

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a short‑term civil engineering project in Burton upon Trent involving valves and drainage works on existing building roads.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Site Manager with strong civils and infrastructure experience to deliver a fast‑paced project safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of site operations
• Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour
• Managing health & safety on site
• Overseeing drainage and valve installation works
• Ensuring works are completed to programme and quality standards
• Liaising with the client, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Maintaining site records and reporting progress

Requirements

• Proven experience managing civils/drainage projects
• Experience working on live or existing building road infrastructure
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage programmes and subcontractors effectively

Desirable

• Temporary Works awareness
• Utilities or infrastructure background
• Experience on projects valued around £250k-£1m
