Qualifications & Experience

In addition to the core skills above, the following experience is highly desirable:

  • Proven depth of knowledge of the operational dynamics and industry trends in one or more areas:
    • Core operations transformation (e.g., buying and merchandising, retail, digital or store operations, ERP or systems transformation, supply chain transformation).
    • Channel strategy – omni‑channel integration, DTC models, e‑commerce acceleration.
    • Cost optimisation through simplification, standardisation, shared services and new operating models across front, middle and back offices.
    • Technology adoption and automation (e.g., automation in warehouses and stores, demand forecasting tools).
    • Sustainability and ethical consumption.
  • Experience of using AI/automation to accelerate key operational processes and/or optimise ways of working in one of the above sectors.
  • Experience developing and leading comprehensive change‑management plans – including communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, training & coaching, resistance management and adoption tracking.
  • Experience in a senior‑level operational role in at least one Retail or CPG organisation – demonstrating knowledge of the overall operating model of that business.
  • Experience in generating and developing new business with a track record of translating these into commercial‑viable and operationally deliverable B2B sales.
  • Experience working effectively as part of a management / leadership team.

Location & Working
