Position Summary

As a Director in our Investment and Wealth Management practice at Deloitte, you will work closely with Partners and Senior Managers to influence and shape the strategic direction of the team. The role offers the opportunity to lead client engagements, develop new business, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities to effectively manage diverse teams, fostering an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their delivery of client work.
  • Lead client engagements and build strong long‑term client relationships as a trusted business advisor in the Investment and Wealth Management sector.
  • Own and develop propositions, create innovative thought leadership, and support the growth of our business.
  • Leverage existing and develop new trusted relationships with clients, identifying and sourcing new opportunities for Deloitte.
  • Play an active role in the recruitment and career development of junior team members.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working within a top‑tier Investment or Wealth Management firm, or consulting or equivalent firm.
  • Experience leading (consulting) bids and responding to RFI/RFPs.
  • Strong relationships with leading industry Front Office technology and/or Data vendors.
  • Relevant subject matter expertise in leading Data Management technologies and vendors (e.g., Snowflake, Finbourne, JPM Fusion, Rimes, BNY Eagle / Data Vault, GoldenSource, etc.) with knowledge and experience across their application and implementation.
  • Exceptional client relationship management across Business, Technology and Leadership teams.
  • Strong understanding of Data Management as it relates to Investment Management and Wealth industry, the lifecycle of data and relationships across multiple data entities (Securities, prices, positions, accounts, legal entities, etc.).
  • Understanding of principles and frameworks surrounding data governance, with experience working on a data governance project.
  • Proven track record of designing, delivering and leading large projects and programmes, including complex business and technology transformations in senior roles.
  • Ability to identify further opportunities and contribute to a sustainable go‑to‑market sales strategy in collaboration with clients and strategic alliances.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and a broad range of individuals and teams across various disciplines.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to clarify ambiguous requirements and make sound judgments in situations with incomplete information.
  • Strong working knowledge of the end‑to‑end investment management value chain with specific understanding of the operating platforms and data underlying Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office and Client Experience capabilities.
  • Experience of architecting / migrating to IBORs and / or ABORs.
  • Experience of the data side of front‑to‑back platforms such as BRS Aladdin or State Street Alpha Data Platform (ADP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, BCS, ITIL, TOGAF, and cloud certifications such as AWS/GCP/Azure or equivalent.
  • Industry certifications such as Snowflake, CFA, IMC, IOC or equivalent.
  • Proficiency or experience with a software development language e.g., Java, Python, SQL, HTML, JSON.
