Funding Data Officer

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Funding Data Officer to join our Management Information Systems (MIS) team at Sandwell College. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of student data that underpins funding and performance across the organisation.

Compensation: £28,278 – £32,783 / year

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing learner enrolments and data amendments accurately and within required deadlines
  • Setting up and managing electronic timetables and registers across designated areas
  • Carrying out regular data validation checks to ensure audit compliance
  • Monitoring register completion and following up with curriculum staff where required
  • Acting as a key point of contact for data queries relating to enrolment, registration, and achievement
  • Liaising with curriculum and exams teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of achievements
  • Maintaining secure and accurate student records in line with GDPR and college procedures

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade A*–C / 4–9) or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject
  • Experience of working in an education or training environment
  • Experience using a student records system or large databases
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel
