Architect Building Regulations Consultant

Here’s what the job is

• Provide guidance on Building Regulations for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Mostly HRBs.
• Support BRPD responsibilities, Gateway Submissions, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Review plans, technical details, and specifications to ensure compliance with current legislation.
• Collaborate with clients, design teams, and colleagues to drive effective decision‑making.
• Stay up to date with industry changes, regulations, and Building Safety Act guidance.
• Deliver clear, accurate, and technically sound reports.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Experienced Architect
• Really good working knowledge of Building Regulations.
• Client facing, or the ability to be. Good Social skills basically.
• Someone that is committed to high standards and can organise themselves with trackers and spreadsheets.
• Involved in a HRB and gateway process, even if you’re not the duty holder. If you need to, you can learn most of the processes once you’ve started.
