Salary range: Grade 10 – 11 £43,680 – £49,056 p.a. plus fantastic benefitsContract: PermanentHours of work: 36 hours per weekLocation: Croydon
Croydon has a vacancy for an experienced and motivated investigator with a sound understanding of legal process. Knowledge of Trading standards legislation would be an advantage.
This is a small, busy and driven team whose priorities include protecting and safeguarding vulnerable persons, investigating illicit tobacco cases, preventing under-age sales, dealing robustly with incidents of rogue traders, and undertaking essential product safety work, as well as running a range of other projects to suit local, regional and national priorities. We work closely with partner agencies with whom we enjoy positive working relationships and have an excellent reputation for undertaking ground-breaking initiatives and achieving outstanding results.
Strong communication skills, together with an ability to work under pressure, both as part of a team and independently, are a must.
Preferably you will hold a Trading standards qualification, but consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate considerable knowledge and experience in this area as well.
This role is entitled to Compulsory Car User Allowance.
