Data Services Role Overview
Data Services sits at the heart of Arup’s digital capability, enabling the firm to make better, faster and more confident decisions through data. The discipline brings together data platforms, engineering, analytics, AI and governance to ensure data is trusted, accessible and used responsibly at scale across projects and corporate services.
From building and running enterprise data platforms to delivering advanced analytics and AI solutions, Data Services helps teams reduce risk, improve outcomes for clients and unlock new opportunities through data‑driven insight.
This is a high‑impact role for someone who wants to sit where data governance meets AI‑enabled delivery. You’ll help shape how data is governed across a global organisation, ensuring strong foundations that directly enable advanced analytics, AI and regulatory confidence. You’ll work with senior stakeholders, influence enterprise‑wide practices, and stay close to practical delivery – seeing the real‑world impact of your work across projects and business operations.
Qualifications
- Experience contributing to the implementation and embedding of data governance within complex organisations.
- Strong, practical understanding of data governance and information architecture frameworks.
- Ability to support change, engage stakeholders and help translate governance into business‑relevant outcomes.
- Solid technical understanding of data governance technologies and complex data environments.
- Clear and effective communication and collaboration skills, working confidently across both technical and business teams.
