Azure DevOps Engineer (SC Cleared)

Location: Remote (occasional travel to Warton)Duration: 3-6 MonthsRate: 640.70 per day (Umbrella)Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance requiredEligibility: British passport holders only

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑paced programme delivering critical cloud and DevOps capabilities. This is a primarily remote role with occasional visits to the Warton office, supporting a secure, enterprise‑scale environment.You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising DevOps pipelines and cloud infrastructure, ensuring robust, scalable, and automated delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Azure DevOps pipelines for build and release processes
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, automated deployments
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
  • Promote DevOps best practices, including version control, testing, and monitoring

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, artifacts)
  • Proven track record in CI/CD setup and optimisation
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code:
    • Terraform
    • ARM templates
  • Strong automation and scripting capability
  • Experience working in secure or regulated environments
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Essential Requirements

  • Active SC Clearance
  • British passport holder (due to project requirements)

Desirable

  • Experience working within defence or highly secure programmes
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and services
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and security best practices
