Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Writtle team within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You’ll provide administrative support to academic colleagues on all matters supporting the student journey from Welcome through to Graduation. The role is mainly based on the Writtle campus but requires regular working at the Chelmsford site.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to faculty staff and students.
- Assist with all student administration tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications, registrations, and graduations.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information in line with university policies.
- Organise and coordinate meetings, travel, and travel bookings for faculty staff.
- Deliver high standards of customer care and support the faculty’s commitment to equality, diversity and widening participation.
- Monitor and improve administrative processes to enhance efficiency and student experience.
Requirements
- Ideally hold a degree or have demonstrable relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and IT skills with experience in demanding administrative environments.
- Desirable experience in student administration within the Higher Education sector.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi‑task effectively.
- A commitment to confidentiality, equality, diversity and a desire to enhance customer care standards.
