Job Overview
As a member of Operations & Industry Domain Solutions (OIDS) in the Consumer group, you will help client organisations transform their operations through strategy, roadmaps, process engineering and technology. You will lead cross‑functional engagements, develop operating models, and deliver measurable cost savings and digital improvements.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Translate strategy and future vision into actionable transformation roadmaps
- Prioritise business demands and transformation initiatives based on value, risk, and strategic alignment
- Lead client thinking to identify areas of innovation that encourage new ways of working and enhance the existing operating model
- Business Architecture & Operating Model Design – support design and delivery of operating models and identify innovation/opportunities for operational improvement
- Ensure alignment between business and technology functions to design future‑state capabilities
- Manage Deloitte and client teams to understand organisations, design and deliver operating models fit for purpose and realise strategic intention
Project Management
- Manage successful teams, workstreams and engagements on time and to budget
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies to ensure projects are delivered smoothly
Business Analysis & Decision Support
- Gather and analyse business requirements, map current processes, identify inefficiencies, and define future‑state processes
- Develop and build business cases, and deliver sustainable cost savings in collaboration with senior clients
- Manage dependencies, assess project impact, and prioritise initiatives accordingly
- Develop methodical approaches to research and guide a team through analysing large qualitative and quantitative data sets to shape recommendations
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely and engage with senior executives and cross‑functional stakeholders to align on strategy, priorities, and transformation goals
- Develop and manage relationships across a broad range of stakeholder groups
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proven depth of knowledge of operational dynamics and industry trends in one or more of the following industries: Consumer Packaged Goods, Transport, Hospitality & Services, Retail
- Experience using AI/Automation to accelerate key operational processes and/or optimise ways of working
- Experience managing change including stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption plans to ensure smooth transitions
- Experience operating at a strategic and operational level, balancing long‑term vision with hands‑on execution
- Experience with Excel, Powerpoint, Jira, PowerBI/Tableau, and process modelling tools such as Signavio
- Previous consulting experience, whether as an independent advisor or in‑house
- Experience in a mid‑level operational role in at least one Consumer organisation (employee or consultant) demonstrating knowledge of the overall operating model
- Experience managing a small team
Location & Work Arrangement
Based in London, Edinburgh or Manchester. Hybrid working model – a mix of local office, virtual collaboration, client sites and remote work.
