Senior React Native Engineer — Fintech, Lead & Mentor

We are looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. You will work on a fast‑paced product in a fintech environment, building and scaling the mobile app that powers funding solutions for businesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives that improve or add functionality to the Funding Circle mobile applications, delivering a great user experience.
• Collaborate within an agile cross‑functional team and participate in technology guilds.
• Implement business functionality using React Native for both iOS and Android.
• Conduct code reviews, technical discussions, and mentor colleagues in the mobile team.
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests to ensure high code quality.
• QA features to identify bugs, usability issues, and performance concerns.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with React.js, React Native, and related ecosystem.
• Strong mobile automated testing experience (unit, integration & end‑to‑end).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient JavaScript, ideally with TypeScript.
• Experience with continuous delivery, build pipelines, and app releases (App Store & Play Store).
• Familiarity with mobile ecosystem tooling such as Firebase.
• Experience with Gradle, XCode, and other native build tools.
• Ability to work with REST APIs and third‑party services/libraries.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
• Ability to architect custom AI solutions and smart automated systems aligned with our mission.
• Role as a technical bridge and mentor, training others across the company.
