We are Eden Futures, delivering support services to people aged 18+ with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill-health and complex needs. The Service Manager role focuses on safeguarding, team leadership, service delivery, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Leading Services
- Translate organisational vision into everyday service delivery
- Supervise, train and develop team members
- Promote a positive, can‑do culture
- Hold team accountable and provide necessary resources
- Make and communicate clear, timely decisions
- Shaping Services
- Identify individual needs and propose support packages
- Design commissioning packages (property, staffing, etc.)
- Ensure safe recruitment and appropriate staffing levels
- Deliver person‑centred, safe care
- Meet legislative and policy requirements (Safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, risk management)
- Ensure services comply with CQC registration
- Build relationships with families, commissioners, advocates and professionals
- Confirm contracted hours and payment arrangements
- Identify learning and development needs for staff and keep mandatory training updated
- Continuously review and evaluate services for improvement
- Delivering Positive Outcomes
- Ensure outcomes for service users are met and reviewed
- Guide practice toward outcome‑based, person‑centred services
- Assess and manage service risks while supporting growth
- Balance rights and duties of care
- Deliver outcomes aligned with the Quality Governance Strategy
- Respond quickly to local needs and fill service voids
- Support colleagues in monitoring KPI data (employee retention, sickness absence, void fill)
- Work in partnership with users, families, health and social care professionals
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders (ASCH, ICBs, agencies)
- Ensure effective communication within the service and with external agencies
- Identify collaborative opportunities that add value and growth
- Continuing Personal Development
- Develop a robust understanding of the organisation, market and trends
- Participate in regular management supervision and reviews
- Create and maintain a personal development plan and CPD journal
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly
- Seek growth opportunities for the service while protecting the company’s values and culture
- Recruit and train new staff, analysing needs and arranging induction
- Lead by example to enable service users to live fulfilling lives
- Attend interviews for new packages of care and support
- Ensure risk assessments safeguard service users’ wellbeing
- Implement induction and assessment programmes for new users
- Promote a person‑centred, needs‑led approach aligned with company policies
- Understand commissioning, audit and inspection implications
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders (Adult Social Care & Health, CCGs)
- Maintain consistent communication across the service and with external agencies

Ideal Candidate
- Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or relevant experience
- Experience of line management and team leadership in this sector
- Caring and compassionate, with a genuine passion for supporting service users toward independence
- Ability to remain positive and influence others during challenging days
- Enjoys teamwork and initiative, and willing to support colleagues when needed
