IT operations manager
Location: Peterborough office, hybrid working available.
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week.
The IT operations manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of IT services at Kidney Research UK, ensuring a reliable, secure and well‑governed IT environment that enables colleagues to deliver the charity’s mission. The role will own operational service delivery, supplier and contract performance, infrastructure coordination and operational cyber‑security controls.
This is both a hands‑on and leadership role, where you will work independently and manage internal and external resources and partners to help support our ambitious 2020-2030 strategy.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and improve IT service delivery.
- Own operational service delivery, supplier and contract performance.
- Coordinate infrastructure and manage operational cyber‑security controls.
- Lead internal and external resources and partners.
- Translate technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Incident management and root‑cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience managing IT operations, service delivery and cyber‑security in a small‑to‑medium organisation.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft infrastructures.
- Experience managing outsourced service desk and technology partners.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and communication skills.
- Strong incident management and problem‑solving skills, including root‑cause analysis.
