Role Overview
The Software Engineer will play a vital role in supporting the upgrade and migration of legacy systems within a complex delivery environment. The purpose of this role is to collaborate with internal teams to facilitate a smooth transition from legacy to modern systems, ensuring successful project delivery aligned with the October 2026 go-live target.

- Strong background in Actian Ingres system upgrades
- Hands‑on, practical experience with database migration and upgrade projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to liaise with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Support the upgrade and migration of legacy systems/software
- Work across multiple project workstreams within a complex delivery environment
- Collaborate with internal teams for a seamless system transition
- Analyse existing legacy codebases and architectures
- Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and validation during the upgrade process
- Provide hands‑on development support as needed
- Ensure project timelines are met in line with the October 2026 go-live
Requirements
- Proven experience in Actian Ingres system upgrades
- Availability to start on or around 15/05/2026 (mid‑June start possible for the right candidate)
- On‑site presence at the specified location
- Right to work in the relevant location
- Previous experience in similar database upgrade projects
