Pensions Actuarial Manager – Pensions Consolidation Solutions
As part of this role you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, consisting of over 400 pension consultants and actuaries advising clients in the private, public and not‑for‑profit sectors.
What does the role entail?
We’re looking for qualified pensions actuaries with significant industry experience to join our team at the Manager level. We value excellent pension consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Day to day, you will be:
- Leading the delivery of actuarial advice to Entrust, managing key client projects directly or with support, and overseeing timescales, stakeholders and budgets.
- Involved in the technical aspects of projects while building relationships with Entrust and scheme sponsors, working as part of a team and developing those around you.
Where is the role?
Enplan schemes are serviced by a dedicated team with hubs based in Manchester and Scotland. Our Manchester hub is larger, supporting about 30 people, including six Scheme Actuaries and 15 Actuarial Analysts and Assistant Managers.
The role is hybrid; you will be expected to work in the office approximately three days a week.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience – a qualified actuary FIA/FFA or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
- Excellent communicator – able to explain complex problems simply.
- Enthusiasm and motivation – a strong desire to solve problems and deliver excellent advice.
- Excellent project management and client delivery skills – particularly in balancing multiple demands.
- Team working – either as part of a team or managing a team, depending on experience.
- Commercial skills – to help develop our business and identify new opportunities.
