Job Description:

Role Summary

We are looking for a Pro Bono Analyst to deliver free, impactful healthcare communications and support to charities and non‑profit organisations across diverse projects and disease areas. The role requires strong scientific writing, project collaboration and the ability to create materials for varied audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit patient, carer and healthcare professional materials.
  • Work on multiple projects in different disease areas concurrently.
  • Support commercial projects for professional development.
  • Collaborate with project teams and experienced colleagues.
  • Engage with clients via teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Prepare business development materials, identify networking opportunities and monitor pro‑bono work.

Role Details

  • Salary: £39,000 per annum
  • Benefits: discretionary profit share bonus paid twice per year, hybrid and flexible working options, generous holiday allowance, private medical insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, full training funding, pension contributions, paid study leave, sabbaticals.
  • Role type: full‑time, permanent
  • Start date: preferably March or April 2026; availability indicated on application.
  • Location: Global Headquarters Cambridge, Manchester and Bristol offices.

Hybrid Working Policy

After passing probation you may work from home up to half your time, measured over a 2‑week rolling period. During probation (first six months) you may work from home one day a week.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in a scientific discipline; postgraduate qualifications a plus.
  • Strong scientific writing experience (reports, publications, proposals).
  • Passion for working with charities and non‑profit organisations.
  • Interest in healthcare and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability and organisational skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication adaptable to varied audiences.
  • Proactive, collaborative and self‑aware with a desire for continuous development.
  • Commitment to quality, innovation and integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • New Entrant (under 26, current UK student or recent UK graduate).
  • PhD in a STEM subject.
  • PhD in a subject relevant to the Analyst role.
