Job Overview

Fixed term vacancy for 12 months until 31/05/2027 to meet the needs of the service. This role is within the Specialist Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (S-CAMHS) for the Pembrokeshire locality of the Primary Mental Health Service. The role involves supporting children and young people in managing emotional and mental health challenges and providing early interventions.

Eligibility

Only staff currently employed by Hywel Dda University Health Board may apply.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Primary Mental Health Service across the Pembrokeshire locality.
  • Conduct mental health assessments and deliver interventions to children and young people as part of Welsh Government Mental Health Measures 2010.
  • Link children and young people into other sources of support and beneficial activities in the community.
  • Maintain direct links with schools, undertake consultations and training to support early identification.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team, including working weekends as required to ensure continuity of service delivery.
  • Carry out duties within Primary Mental Health and Schools In‑Reach.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified practitioner with relevant experience; experience in CAMHS services is not a requirement.
  • Experience and/or a strong interest in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
  • Can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible and able to work weekends if required.
