Ophthalmic Clinical Research Fellow – Trials & Training

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow within the Clinical Eye Research Centre (CERC) at St Paul’s Eye Unit.

This post offers training and experience in the set‑up, recruitment, delivery and management of numerous commercial and non‑commercial clinical studies.

Position: 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Train research active physicians in the challenges of developing and delivering first‑class clinical research so they can continue this through to their consultant career.
• Aid in recruitment, delivery and retention of study patients.
• Act as sub‑investigator on several clinical trials simultaneously.
• Support varied studies covering all diverse areas of ophthalmic research within the Trust and attend research sessions with the Corneal, Glaucoma, VR and MR teams.
