Job Description:

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a caring and committed Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to work within the Early Intervention Team for Psychosis Sefton. The service works with people between the ages of 14 and 65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker
  • Professional qualification in a relevant field

Responsibilities

  • Involve in the patient journey from triage and assessment through to delivering interventions that support service users to recover from psychosis over a 3‑year period.
  • Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based care, formulate risk management plans, supervise risk assessments.
  • Provide expertise and advice, coordinate care, and direct unqualified staff.
  • Commit fully to working with service users who have complex needs, helping them plan and take steps toward recovery.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to support service users and their families, and to motivate, influence, and inspire colleagues at all levels.
