Our onboarding process starts with a friendly conversation. All our engineers are to have their own insurance and to have their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, along with our engineer handbook, contract for services and branded clothing, we supply labels and technical support.

Job Description
We are looking for PAT Engineers to join our team in Hayle with flexible hours and the option to work part‑time or full‑time. All applicants must have a reasonable commuting distance to Hayle or be willing to travel nationwide.
Income is pro‑rated based on the rate per appliance, number of tests and job dynamics. Projects range from one‑day assignments to long‑term contracts and details are discussed on a case‑by‑case basis.
Applicants must have their own transport, relevant equipment, and hold a City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification or equivalent. You must be reliable, honest, and maintain a ‘can‑do’ attitude, ensuring all testing instruments are up‑to‑date, in good working order, and meet relevant regulations.
Typical Day
A PAT Engineer’s day varies: from hospitals to retail outlets, you will travel between sites, putting equipment into the van, conducting tests on appliances such as microwaves, kettles and computers, and informing users of results. Results are recorded in a dedicated test report book or electronic system, and completion certificates or checklists may be required.
Success in this role requires skill, experience, patience, and a commitment to keeping workplaces safe.
This position is physically and mentally demanding but offers variety and opportunities for advancement.
